ACCA has been an active participant in Project Limulus, a study of horseshoe crabs, through our involvement with Mark Beekey, an aquatic biologist and Professor of Biology at Sacred Heart University.  Project Limulus studies the reason for the decline of horseshoe crabs.  Horseshoe crabs are one of the few species that remain from the prehistoric era and they have been in decline since the 1900's, although no one knows why.  Project Limulus measures, tags, and counts the horseshoe crabs.
