ACCA sponsors and joins in on clean ups sponsored by Save the Sound and other organizations twice a year.  There is a Spring clean up and a Fall clean up.  Check the News section for upcoming clean ups or become a member and receive our e-mail updates.

Spring Clean Up 2012 - April 7

Please join us for the Spring Clean Up of St. Mary's and the Ash Creek shoreline on Saturday, April 7 at 9 AM at the sand spit at St. Mary's.  Bring trash bags and wear long sleeves/pants and gloves (poison ivy!).  Thank you to Peggy Ianniello, Martha Turner, and Roger Ludwig for organizing this event.

Fall Clean Up at Ash Creek

Please join the Ash Creek Conservation Association in a coastal cleanup of the Ash Creek tidal estuary from 8:30 AM to noon on Saturday, September 17th.

This cleanup event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, which is coordinated in Connecticut by Save the Sound, a program of Connecticut Fund for the Environment.

Spring Clean Up on April 9

We will be conducting our annual Spring Ash Creek clean up at 9 AM on Saturday, April 9, which is low tide.  We’ll meet at the driveway at 19 Eames Boulevard.  Please wear a long sleeved shirt, long pants, and gloves because of the poison ivy along the banks of Ash Creek.   Thank you to Roger Ludwig, Peggy Ianniello, and Martha Turner for organizing this event.  Thanks also to Save the Sound for organizing and promoting these clean ups along the shoreline and providing clean up supplies.   Thank you to Mary Jane Foster for providing the coffee and donuts.
